"The trip was one of my best of
about 20 trips to the Caribbean!!!
Attached are a couple of pictures
of the Tiburon I caught. Also had
a Giant Grouper spool me! We were
on The Gran Cosa with Luis. He was
my first mate last September on
the same boat. Hooked up about 35
times and landed about 25 fish.
Luis is the best! He filleted one
of our 10 pound snappers and we
took it back to the resort and they
cooked it up for us that night.
Luis is awesome. Back in September
me and my buddy had two first mates
(Luis and another). But, Luis was
so fast and efficient that it was
like we had two first mates. He
said he has been with you all for
like 15 years or so and I believe
it. He and I talked a lot during
the trip. His English is getting
very good! He said he would like
to go to the Sea Rose for the prestige,
but, fishing is fishing. He took
like 150 pounds of fish to the people
back in Cozumel. And I think we
gave him and the captain a pretty
good tip. I had a wonderful
